Comme des Garçons — AI Fashion Explorations

A series of speculative fashion film studies exploring AI-assisted image-making, cinematic storytelling, and surreal visual direction inspired by the visual worlds of Comme des Garçons and Comme des Garçons × KAWS.

The projects explored how emerging generative tools could be directed within a controlled visual framework rather than used as autonomous image generators. Across the films, fragmented narratives, symbolic transformations, and exaggerated atmospheric compositions were used to build emotionally charged fashion environments balancing tension, abstraction, and materiality.

One study followed the KAWS character through a dark, surreal sequence where movement, impact, and liquid transformation became metaphors for emotion, perfume, and identity. Another explored a world of black peonies and sculptural floral forms dissolving into fragrance through slow cinematic transitions and layered visual compositions.

The workflow combined generative image systems, sequence refinement, compositing, sound design, and motion direction — using AI tools as part of a broader art direction process focused on consistency, pacing, and visual cohesion.
