Ren Vodka – Fine Art Label Series

The Challenge

Wild Distillery on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, commissioned a series of label artworks for their new Ren Vodka (ren meaning pure). The vodka is handmade and distilled five times, and the distillery wanted the label to embody both the purity of the product and the origins of the brand. The brief called for a fine art approach that could illustrate the four flavor variations—orange, apple, liquorice, and pure—while also working as a collectible series.

Creative Approach

I created a continuous fine art composition that unites all four bottles into a single, seamless series. While each bottle works as a stand-alone artwork, together they form a panoramic narrative inspired by the nature of Bornholm. Natural elements connected to the flavors were integrated into the color palette and subtly woven into the painterly details of the illustrations.

To heighten the sense of purity and dimensionality, we printed the artwork on the back of the transparent bottles, so it could be viewed through the vodka itself. This approach gave the labels a unique depth and tactile presence, elevating the bottles into collectible design objects. Today, Ren Vodka is sold across Denmark as a premium item for both collectors and the general public.
