Jack & Jones – Print Design

The Challenge

From 2018 to 2022, I worked as an Art Director and Lead Artist at Jack & Jones, the Danish menswear brand. Assisting the Creative Director, I was responsible for trend research, building moodboards and visual strategies for upcoming collections, and guiding the overall creative direction for print and graphic design. Each collection had to align with global fashion trends while addressing different target groups and international markets, ensuring the brand’s identity remained consistent yet diverse.

Creative Approach

I led the development of exclusive, crafted artworks for seasonal collections, working across a wide spectrum of styles:

  • Trend & Research: Daily analysis of fashion movements, consumer tastes, and visual culture, translated into design directions.

  • Typography: From classic graphic layouts to hand-crafted lettering, developed as logos and slogans.

  • Illustration: Detailed hand-drawn and digital artworks, many of which became the brand’s best-selling items.

  • Print & Pattern: Photo prints, all-over designs, and embroidery adapted to multiple markets worldwide.

Alongside my creative responsibilities, I also introduced new digital workflows that significantly improved the team’s process. By bringing in the iPad Pro with Procreate, I transitioned the studio away from drawing textures on paper and scanning them, or relying solely on Photoshop brushes, to a streamlined illustration setup with a vast library of high-quality textures and an intuitive workflow. The pipeline I established was later adopted by the entire team, boosting both efficiency and creative output.

By combining strategic trend foresight, hands-on craft, and workflow innovation, I helped ensure Jack & Jones collections stood out in a competitive market, resonating with a wide range of customers while keeping a consistent brand DNA.
