Comme des Garçons × KAWS – AI Exploration

This personal project was an experiment in creating a speculative ad for the Comme des Garçons × KAWS perfume collaboration. The concept imagined a dramatic and slightly dark story designed for a young, fashion-forward, street-art audience.

The narrative follows KAWS’s emblematic character:

  • Running to create intrigue and suspense.

  • A Cupid figure shoots an arrow of love.

  • The character, once struck, drowns in a pool of red liquid — suggesting both paint (a nod to street art) and blood — ultimately transforming into love, perfume, and emotion.

The result is a surreal, edgy short film that blends street art energy, fashion atmosphere, and emotional tension, aligning with the boldness of both brands.

The process combined multiple AI and creative tools:

  • ComfyUI with Flux Kontext to generate consistent running sequences of the KAWS character, using reference images to maintain fidelity.

  • MidJourney to design and develop the Cupid figure and supporting imagery.

  • Veo 3 for animation and cinematic direction.

  • After Effects compositing for refinement, color adjustments, and subtle tricks to merge all elements into a cohesive film.
